La casa está en la cima de una montaña con una vista in-interrumpida hacia el sur por más de 200 kilómetros. Una panorámica espectacular que se completa al norte con una vista precordillerana: la sierra nevada del Aconquija, con picos arriba de los 5 mil metros de altura.
La propiedad es de 1200 metros cuadrados, y no tiene vecinos; los alrededores son campos vacíos con árboles y monte, o pastizales donde esporádicamente se ven solo caballos o algo de ganado vacuno.
La propiedad está a 4 kilómetros del Municipio de Aconquija (en Catamarca, Argentina). Esta es una localidad de 5mil habitantes, con gente simpática, contenta y amigable. Es un lugar seguro, limpio, con todas sus calles pavimentadas. www.aconquija.org
El municipio de Aconquija posee prácticamente todos los servicios (escuelas, hospital, supermercados, etc), pero para el caso de compras o necesidades específicas, los centros urbanos mayores serían la ciudad de Tucumán o Catamarca a tres horas de distancia respectivamente. Hay transporte a diario hacia esos centros urbanos.
LA CASA está en perfectas condiciones. Está hecha de adobe, con muros térmicos de 45cm de espesor. El cieloraso también es térmico, hecho artesanalmente con cañas de bambú.
Hay dos dormitorios grandes, más una gran sala/cocina y un baño. También incluye un galpón que puede ser usado como sala de estar en el verano o como garaje etc.
Es una CASA AUTOSUSTENTABLE, está equipada con calefacción a salamandra y agua caliente con calefón y termotanque a leña. A notar que la leña no tiene costo, hay por todos lados alrededor de esta propiedad.
El agua corriente de la casa proviene de Río (agua de deshielo de las altas cumbres) llega a la casa entubada en unos 500 metros de manguera y se conecta directamente a una planta potabilizadora en la casa. Esta planta es un sistema de filtros (para un agua que ya es limpia). El agua pasa automáticamente por dos filtros de arena y un filtro de carbon activado.
Por otro lado la casa cuenta con un sistema paralelo de recolección de agua de lluvia -esta agua se guarda en una cisterna de 7.000 litros.
Recientemente la casa fue conectada a la red eléctrica, pero aun sigue instalado y funcionando su anterior sistema de energía solar, que apoyado con un banco de baterías de 12v. funciona de manera autónoma para iluminar todas las habitaciones, cargar teléfonos, computadoras o heladera.
La casa cuenta con servicio de Internet ilimitado a una velocidad de bajada de 4 meg.
El terreno posee también una quinta de árboles frutales: 12 manzanos, un ciruelo, un duraznero, y un peral -y para sombra hay 2 árboles de sauce llorón; y plantas aromáticas: romero, orégano, salvia, tomillo, lavanda, y más.

The house is on top of a mountain with an uninterrupted front view for more than 200 km. The panoramic view to the back is of the snow-capped pre-cordillera of the Andes, with peaks above five thousand meters high.
The place has no neighbors; the surroundings are empty fields with trees, wild pastures where seldom can be seen horses or some cattle.
The property is located at 4 km distance from the Town of Aconquija (in the Province of Catamarca, Argentina). This is a village of 5000 inhabitants, a familiar town with very friendly people; it is a safe, clean and has nice paved roads. www.aconquija.org
The town of Aconquija has all services: internet, postoffice, schools, including a large hospital. It has daily public transportation to major urban centers, like to the city of Catamarca or Tucuman 3 hours away. Both cities have airports with flights to Buenos Aires, and from there flights anywhere.
THE PROPERTY:
The house is in perfect condition. It is made of adobe bricks, that is, thermal walls of 45 cm (20 inches) in thickness. And ceiling insulation crafted with bamboo canes. The living surface is 45 SqMet. (500 SqFt). It has two large bedrooms, one bathroom and a big kitchen. There is also a large shed that can be used as a living room in the summer or as a garage, storage, etc.
The land is 1200 square meters, and has plenty of fruit trees: 12 apple trees, a plum, a peach, and a pear tree -and for shade there are 2 willow trees. It also has aromatic plants: rosemary, oregano, sage, thyme, lavender and more.
A SELF-SUSTAINABLE HOUSE
For heating, it is equipped with a wood stove and there is another wood furnace that serves to heat the water for the house. This hot water is storaged in a thermotank. Notice that the wood has no cost here, it is everywhere around this property.
The running water for the house comes from the nearby river (melted water from the high peaks). It reaches the house through a stream, where the last 500 meters goes through a pipe and connects directly to a water treatment plant in the house. This plant is a filter system (for the water that is already clean) where the water passes through two sand filters and a carbon-activated filter.
There is also an alternative system, up and running if needed. It collects rainwater, filters and delivers it to the house grid. There is a permanent storage of 7000 liters of clean water.
Recently the house was connected to the electrical grid.
However, still in place, and in use, is a previous solar power system. It is supported with a 12v battery bank and can illuminate all rooms, charge phones, 2 computers or the fridge.
The house also has internet access. It has a service of unlimited use 24/7 with a download speed of 4meg.
Included with the house is a small gas stove, fridge, pots and pans, furniture (bed, tables, chairs), tools (hand tools, power tools, farmer’s tools) and more.
